In this episode, we take a look at Amazon's upcoming Rings of Power adaptation of, we think, the appendices to the Lord of the Rings, and ask what it is that makes some adaptations (Jackson's Lord of the Rings Trilogy) a roaring success, while others (Jackson's Hobbit Trilogy) fail with barely a whimper.
